Lowell was born in Dayton in 1970. He spent the bulk of his school years in Kettering and Centerville before coming to OU in 1987. During his time at OU he was a member of the retro-psychedelic bands Creme Flip and Happening with the Mustang.
After graduation he spent time in the South West working in sound editing and accrued a couple more letters after his name. He eventually landed back at OU in the early 00’s and taught sound engineering in the School of Theater.
