For the last four years Athens Artists Memorial Project has been supporting local marching bands. In that time we have made donations to Athens County marching bands totaling $4,900 to help pay for band camp, uniforms, equipment and supplies.
We believe that marching band is a great place for students to learn important life skills such as creativity, listening and team work.
This year we are happy to award TWO $500 scholarships to the Athens High School and the Federal Hocking High School marching bands.
At least four students that would otherwise not have been able to attend band camp this year are now able to attend thanks to YOUR donations. We could not do the work we do without your support.
Through August this year, if you make a donation, we have TWO generous supporters who are willing to match your donation, tripling what you give. Your $50 donation becomes $150, your $100 donation becomes $300, etc. That will make our work with supporting bands, and other local artistic needs, so much easier.
